This biennial event convenes the appellate justices of the California Court of Appeal, Second District, Division Six, for a unique opportunity to engage in conversation directly with the Court on important legal topics relevant to your practice and the broader legal community. This event includes a panel discussion, followed by a question and answer session open to audience members. The panel discussion will address such topics as: the state of legal practice in Ventura County, guidance from the justices to improve your appellate strategy and presentation, insights on how the justices think about the cases that come before the Court and what they look for from the attorneys presenting them, the Court’s perspective on the most pressing legal issues facing Ventura’s legal community and the community at large, and other trends and topics in the law as observed at the appellate level.
